Pauline has served as Executive Director of I Love A Clean San Diego since 2006. In that time, Pauline has over doubled its staff and budget size to expand the organization’s reach further than ever before. In 2007, she led the creation of WasteFreeSD.org, an innovative recycling resource for community members. Through her leadership, now 60,000 San Diegans each year are engaged through countywide cleanups, and environmental education to preserve and enhance San Diego’s natural environment. Pauline’s combined business experience and environmental background complement her organizational work and additional community roles where she serves on several citizen and community groups related to water, energy, and sustainability issues. In 2014, she joined the California Resource Recovery Association (CRRA) board, and represented the Waste Management sector on the City of Chula Vista’s Climate Change Working Group. Because of her leadership, she was recently chosen as one of San Diego’s top “40 under 40,” by San Diego Metro magazine, SDBJ’s “Women Who Mean Business”, and the Union Tribune’s Top 6 Environmental Leaders. In her free time, she enjoys connecting with the environment she works so diligently to protect through running, yoga, shopping at farmers’ markets, and traveling.
