Volunteers needed for Kid's Ocean Day! I Love A Clean San Diego is hosting a Kid's Adopt-A-Beach Cleanup for elementary school students to reinforce the importance of ocean conservation on Friday, June 6th from 9 AM - noon at Oceanside City Beach. The students will conduct a beach cleanup and additionally create an aerial art formation that illustrates the environmental theme of the event. ILACSD is looking for volunteers for Friday, June 6th, 2008 from 7:30 AM - 1:00 PM to help direct students and organize the project. River Days Graffiti Paint-Out and Cleanup this Weekend! Celebrate the San Diego River with I Love A Clean San Diego and the San Diego River Park Foundation this weekend! Volunteers will meet at 4800 Pacific Highway, San Diego 92110 at 9 AM on Saturday, May 17th to remove litter and paint out graffiti in an effort to revitalize the San Diego River and trail that leads to Ocean Beach. All participants will need to sign the event waiver to participate, and minors need a parent signature. Volunteers should wear closed toed shoes, long pants, sunscreen, and a hat, and may want to bring extra water. Please be mindful that we will be working with paint and you may get dirty, so please dress appropriately. Click here for a map with directions to the meeting point.
